To celebrate her 30th, Tara booked in her portrait session with me during last winter. It is also tradition in her family that each child has their portrait taken every 5 years for the family wall and what better way to do that while getting dressed up and enjoying a day of absolute pampering? Hair and make up by our amazing Julie Kei.
Welcoming baby Rory into this beautiful family of Bek, Rod and Kye. On a hot summer day I travelled to the other end of Sydney to document the important life event of welcoming a new addition to the Portlocks.
I have known Rebecca for a few years through a previous career and was there when she married the love if her life, Rodney, was 8 months pregnant and now given birth to baby Rory. To be in and witness the journey of life of a friend is one of the greatest wonders and gifts of this life. And a complete honor to me as their photographer.
TAMARA & TAYLOR
Mother and daughter portrait session at our studio late last year. Tamara brought in her mum, Zsa Zsa to join them at the very end of their fun and playful session. This was this little family's very first photography session together. I know these photos will be treasured for years to come as Taylor grows up and becomes a woman herself.
Tamara took advantage of our studio wardrobe and decided on the gold sequin chiffon dress while Taylor had her heart set on the big white tulle skirt. It was like a sea of tulle surrounding her - it as SO much fun - and I swear at times I wasn't quite sure if we had lost her in it altogether.

I truly believe that all women, any age, shape or size is beautiful in her own unique way. The transformation is simply enhancing what is already there and highlighting the strengths within each of us. This is about re-connecting with all or some parts of yourself that you have either lost or simply forgotten about - life gets busy and it is so easy to forget our femininity, our sensual side and that we are women who can be strong as well as beautiful. One never has to exclude the other.
Being a the owner of a new start up skin care business, Helen came to me for her personal branding images for her website and social media. When I suggested to maybe also bring along a few fun outfits to her portrait session - as it would be the perfect opportunity to dress up - she brought along her stunning 2nd dress from her wedding. And wow, just wow. It was such an amazing transformation. We played, danced and got carried away having too much fun (if there is even such a thing?)
You have probably noticed that the dream catcher features in the background of most of these beautiful images of Jazmin. When Jazmin booked her session she had a request of including one little prop. As an American with a Native American heritage this was incredibly significant to her and so we made sure to feature it whenever possible.
Boudoir photography can be many things, we approached it a little differently and mixed up the session and included lingerie, house coats, pearls and then a few classic dresses and outfits. In essence, we designed Jazmins' photo shoot around her and what she dreamed of.
JEMMA & PAT
Jemma and Pat tied the knot at the picturesque Ettalong Lookout on the Central Coast of NSW. After a few wedding photos on the stroll back to the bus we all headed to the Wagstaffe Hall for a night of music, tasty drinks, yummy food, lots of laughter and dancing.
These are the highlights. I hope you enjoy!
